Ashley Van, MHA, MS, ATC, LMT, ART
Ashley Van, MHA, MS, ATC, LMT, ART, is entering her seventh year (2020-21) as a member of the SMU Sports Medicine Staff and was elevated to an associate athletic trainer in January of 2020. Ashley’s primary responsibilities are for Dallas Sports Recovery’s virtual human performance and research division, PRN athletic training, and injury consulting. Ashley has an interest in endurance athletes, particularly nutrition needs and preventing injuries caused by repetitive use.
Before coming to Dallas Sports Recovery & Massage, PLLC, Ashley completed a year-long internship at West Point University, where she primarily served the men's and women's cross-country and track and field teams. She worked in outpatient rehabilitation and as an athletic trainer for local high schools. She served as a preceptor to Northern Arizona University athletic training students.
She earned her Master of Healthcare Administration at Northern Arizona University in 2020, and her Master of Science at Auburn University in 2012, while she served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the US Army at Fort Benning, GA. In 2011, she received a Bachelor of Science in athletic training from Indiana State University. In 2017, she earned her massage therapy license.
